ASQ Human Development and Leadership Division (HD&L) announced today that it will offer a series of 15-week on-line Pinnacle Leadership Excellence™ (PLE™) Certificate and Mentoring Program starting on August 19, 2015. The PLE™ program, which will include a series of both on-line and in-person courses, is based on “The 12 Pillars of Project Excellence”, a triple-award winning book, by author Adil Dalal, which has been adopted as the foundation to HD&L Division's Leadership Body of Knowledge. The book, which recently won the ASQ Crosby Medal, is also the winner of the Shingo research & Publication award and the Axiom best business book medal, provides a unique approach to achieving culture transformation breakthroughs through leadership and operational excellence. The instructor of the course will be Adil F. Dalal, who is the past-Chair of the HD&L division and the recipient of a Global Award for Outstanding contribution to Quality & Leadership.
Adil F. Dalal was presented with The Crosby Medal by American Society of Quality on May 3rd, 2015 for his book ‘The 12 Pillars of Project of Excellence: A Lean Approach to Improving Project Results'. This is the third significant recognition awarded to Dalal for his book.
Adil F. Dalal was presented with The 2015 Crosby Medal by American Society of Quality on May 3rd, 2015 for authoring 'The 12 Pillars of Project Excellence: A Lean Approach to Improving Project Results'. The medal is named after the quality and business philosophy guru and legend Philip B. Crosby, whose book ‘Quality is Free’ launched the zero defects philosophy and is credited for the quality revolution world-wide for organizations seeking to achieve greater efficiency, reliability and profitability. The award ceremony was held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Conference Center in Nashville, TN, at the ASQ’s Annual World Conference.

Patriots 4 Our Heroes™ (P4OH™) has been formed to combat the continued loss of precious veteran lives at the rate of 18-22 suicides per day or 6,500- 8,000 suicides annually due to PTS and TBI. Patriots 4 Our Heroes™ consists of a diverse voluntary team of military and civilian leaders across both public and private sectors who share a common passion to serve all veterans in need of assistance. The diverse team is composed of a team of volunteers consisting of researchers, healthcare specialists, Federal and State agencies, political leaders, advocacy groups, philanthropists, process improvement consultants, and practitioners.
Author Adil Dalal’s pioneering book, The 12 Pillars of Project Excellence: A Lean Approach to Improving Project Results, will be receiving the 2015 Philip Crosby Medal from American Society of Quality in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 3rd, 2015. This is the 3rd award this book has received for its original breakthrough ideas and concepts.
ASQ will award the Philip Crosby Medal to Adil Dalal for authoring “The 12 Pillars of Excellence: A Lean Approach to Improving Project Results”. A Crosby Medal is presented annually to the individual who has authored a distinguished book contributing significantly to the extension of the philosophy and application of the principles, methods, or techniques of quality management. The Crosby medal award committee selected The 12 Pillars of Project Excellence for this esteemed honor as the book “focuses on leadership and organizational culture as keys to successful project leadership, with concepts and assessment tools provided to evaluate the process, organization and the leadership to achieve successful project outcomes.” The book was nominated for this award by the Human Development Division of ASQ. The medal will be presented to Adil Dalal during ASQ’s Annual World Conference on Quality and Improvement in Nashville, Tennessee, May 3rd, 2015.
ASQ (American Society for Quality), is hosting its first Technical Communities Council (TCC) conference in Orlando, Florida at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on Oct 30-31, 2014. It is designed to energize the 21st century quality professionals through case studies, programs tutorials, sessions, panel discussions, and stimulating keynote addresses provided by innovative quality leaders like Frank Culbertson, Adil Dalal, Martha Gardner, Pam Henderson and Peter Merrill.
